Rosalía Rodríguez is an associate professor of Chemical Engineering at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. Her research is focused on the production of sustainable biofuels and bioactive products from oleaginous microorganisms, evaluating the environmental feasibility of these processes. She studied Chemical Engineering in Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2001) and received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering by Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (2006) working in the development of new catalysts for 1-hexene oligomerization. Later she worked studying the formation of inorganic scales in the crude oil extraction and transportation processes. She completed post-doctoral research visits in the Laboratoire de Materiaux Catalytiques et Catalyse en Chimie Organique CNRS (Montpellier, France, 2006) and the Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour (Pau, France, 2008).
